It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Mitch LaDon Orr.
Mitch Ladon Orr, also known as “Coota Brown”, departed this life on Saturday, July 12, 2025. Mitched loved to dance, being outside, and working on things, all while always smiling. His love for his wife, kids and family was immeasurable. To know him was to love him. His generosity was like no other as he loved helping all whom he came into contact with. He will be missed dearly. Remember him for his love of life, his family and his love of God.
Mitch was preceded in death by: his father, Mitchell Williams; father-in-law, Donnie Barksdale; grandfather, Joe Williams; grandmothers, Fannie McConnell and Ossie Orr.
Mitch is survived by his loving wife, Misty Barksdale-Orr; children, Mariah (Daimeon) Walker, Nicholas Orr and Naomi Orr; step-children, Joshua (London) Carstarphen and Laila Mostiller; grandchildren, Aaron, Rella, Makhi, Liam, Lennox and 2 on the way; mother, Minnie (Reggie) Orr; mother-in-law, Patsy Barksdale; brother, Andre (Brandi) Orr; brother-in-law, Matthew (Tiffany) Barksdale; sister, Tiffanie Porch; grandfather, Ross Orr, Jr.; grandmother-in-law, Joyce Wheeler; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
FAMILY VISITATION: 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Thursday, July 17, 2025, at the funeral home.
PUBLIC VIEWING: 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM on Friday, July 18, 2025.
FUNERAL SERVICE: 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church - Collinsville, AL. Family visitation will be 12:00 Noon until the hour of service, at the church.
INTERMENT: Kerley Cemetery - Collinsville, AL
