Obituary For Rachel Childs

Funeral service for Mrs. Rachel Williams Childs will be 1 p.m. Saturday, February 22 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Attalla. Pastor Ricky Wise, Eulogist. Interment in Lincoln Hill Memorial Cemetery. Family visitation will be 6-8 tonight at Gadsden Memorial Funeral Home.

Rachel was preceded in death by her parents, Israel and Allie Mae (Kelley) Williams Sr.; son, Marcellius Dewayne Childs; younger brothers, Larry Williams and Orlando Williams; and grandparents, Alex 'EK' and Mattie C. (Burton) Kelley.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her beloved sons, Greg (Kelly) Childs and David (Joy) Steward; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Jesse (Devon) Williams, Israel Williams Jr., Rudolph (Yvette) Williams and Julius Williams; one sister, Deborah (Ricky) Wise; four other sisters, Frances Elizabeth Wise, Della (David) Andrews, Minnie Parker and Cheral Boley; eight other brothers, Felton (P.T.) Parker, Donovan (Wanda) Parker, Reginald (Chenida) Parker, Charlie (Tanesa) Parker, James (Patricia) Parker Sr., Randy (Lisa) Boley, Darren (Mary) Boley and Terrance Graves; one aunt, Christine James; one uncle, Benjamin Kelley; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and treasured friends.
