Mrs. Sharon Turner Watts was born on February 25, 1973, in Gadsden AL, to Debora Turner Sattiewhite and Larry Jones. She was raised and adopted by her loving grandmother, Myrtis L. Sims, and she is once again resting in her arms. Sharon accepted Christ and was baptized at a very early age at the Mt. Sinai Spiritual Church, under the leadership of the Late Bishop G.W. Garrison, where she served faithfully, singing in the choir. She later joined the United Christian Ministries, under the leadership of her uncle, Pastor Charles Kirkpatrick, then years later she united with the New Canaan Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Edward Jones, where she was a member until God called her home. She also loved and connected with the Outreach Ministries, under the leadership of Pastor Claudine Crumpler. Sharon was educated in the Gadsden city school system.
Sharon was united in Holy Matrimony to the love of her life, Darryl Dewayne Watts, for 21 years, raising five beautiful children.
Sharon loved singing and attending gospel programs. She simply loved praising God. She started out as just a young child, singing with her first gospel group, The Heavenly Angels. Sharon was a member of the Sensational Joyfulaires for many years and traveled to many places. She later started her own family group with her husband and children, The Anointed Watts Family. They traveled all over, singing God’s praises for many years. It was truly her gift and passion. Sharon was loved and known by many.
She was preceded in death by her adopted grandmother, Myrtis Sims, her father, Larry Jones, and brother, Michael (Pete) Turner. She leaves to celebrate her life and mourn her passing: her beloved, devoted, and faithful husband, Darryl D. Watts; sons, Darrius Turner, Keith Jackson, and Keshun Sattiewhite; daughters, Denise Watts and Diamond Watts, both of Gadsden, AL; granddaughters, Joci (Juicy) Jackson and Cali Evans; birth mother, Debora Sattiewhite; sisters, Katrina Kinard of Gadsden, AL, Kesha Sattiewhite of Athens, AL, Myrtesha Sattiewhite of Gadsden, AL, Gloria Dawson of Houston, TX, Brenda Oliver of Gadsden, AL, and Frances (Darryl) Bryant of Fayetteville, NC; brothers, Charles (Kim) Kirkpatrick and William Ray Eason, both of Gadsden, AL; uncle, Charles Jones of Attalla, AL; special sister-in-law, Linda Watts of Gadsden, AL; brothers-in-law, Edward (Charsie) Watts, Alfred Watts, K.P. Watts, Jr., and Fredrick Watts, all of Anniston, AL; special nephews, Armon and Parnell Timmons; a host of special cousins, aunts, and uncles; many special chosen children that called her MOM; and a host of many, many friends.
