Betty Jean Davenport, 81, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2026. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, auntie, and cherished loved one whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Betty started her work journey on January 4, 1971. After working for almost 40 years, she retired on October 1, 2008. Betty also volunteered at St. Mary’s Hospital patient information desk and after 10 years she retired. Betty then started working with Oconee Home Health Care until December 2023.

Betty was a hardworking superwoman who took pride in working and providing for her family. She loved spending time with her family and loved ones, creating memories and enjoying the people who meant the most to her. Her love for her family was evident in the time she shared with them andin the many lives she touched throughout the years.

Betty leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter, Tiffany (Renaldo) Faust; three grandkids, Raelyn Renita Faust, Ryliegh Faust, and Daylen Faust; one brother, Charles Still, Sr.; and one godson, Kenneth Sneed. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, many friends, and loved ones who will continue to hold her memory close to their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her children, Harvey Allen Reid, Jr., Christopher Davenport, and Lakeshia Davenport; and one brother, Clifford Hill, Jr.

Betty’s life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and she will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her. Though she is no longer with us, the love she gave, the memories she created, and the impact she made will live on through her family and loved ones.
