Debra graduated from Girls Vocational School in Newark, New Jersey She was a dedicated and compassionate professional person who was known for her strong work ethics and deep love for for family.

Debra worked at several jobs and gain valuable experience as well as a commitment to hard work. She later became a respected Chief Appeal Officer for the Federal Government where her integrity and dedication to public service earned her admiration from colleagues and peers alike. Francine Sims, Brenda, Gail, Joseph, and Brenda Washington were close friends, just to name a few, throughout her life. Debra was a pillar of support and kindness. Debra deeply cherished her life, family, and friends. Those left to cherish her memories include her Sister, Yvonne McMillan of Grier, South Carolina Nephew Ryan McMillan, Clarence Evan McMillan, Bey, and a special cousin; Linda Brooks Credle of Jacksonville, North Carolina who took care of her until the last days as well as other cousins and friends who will miss her deeply.
