Obituary For Anthony Bowers

Funeral ceremony for Anthony Thomas Bowers, 57, of Southbend, Indiana (formerly of Jacksonville, Alabama) will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at the Goodson Funeral Home with Reverend Thomas Wayne McMillan, officiating.

Burial will follow immediately after service at Mount Ararat C.M.E. Church Cemetery. Public viewing will be held from 1-5 PM on Friday, February 4, 2022 at the chapel of Goodson Funeral home. Anthony's life ended on Sunday, January 23, 2022, in South Bend, Indiana where he had resided for the past 29 years.

Mr. Anthony Thomas Bowers leaves to cherish his memories: his devoted father, Clavis Bowers, Sr., of Brutonville, Alabama; his fiance, Rebekah Mehrley; his sons, Anthony, Jordan, Isaiah Bowers and Tieler Jefferies; stepsons, Louis Bradley and Markee; stepdaughter, Kaneshia Carter, all of Southbend, Indiana; his wife and friend, Patricia Bowers; longtime friend and mother of his children, Reshell Walton, all of Southbend, Indiana; his sister, Brenda Bowers of Anniston, Alabama; his brothers, Steve Bowers (Theme) of Saks, Alabama, Charles Bowers of Shelbyville, Tennessee, Jeffery Bowers of Jacksonville, Alabama, and Gary Bowers (Commenatta) of Ohatchee, Alabama; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Anthony is preceded in death by his mother Margaret A. Bowers and his brothers Clavis Bowers, Jr. and David Bowers. Anthony was a loving father to all his children. He had a big heart when it came to his family and friends, especially Johnny Cook. He was also a big, big time Alabama fan: "Roll Tide!"
