Obituary For Jerry Perkins

Funeral ceremony for Jerry Perkins, 71, of Lima, Ohio (formerly of Anniston, Al.) will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at the Bethel Baptist Church with Pastor Emeritus William Fields, officiating. Burial will follow immediately after service at Edgemont Cemetery.

Public viewing will be held from 1:00-5:00 PM on Friday, January 14, 2022 at the chapel of Goodson Funeral Home. Jerry, was educated in the Anniston City School System. He graduated from Cobb High School, after graduation he moved to Ypsilanti, MI; from 1969-1980, afterwards he lived in Toledo, Ohio from 1980-1981 and from there to Lima, Ohio until the Lord called him to his heavenly home. He was employed with General Dynamics Land System until his health failed. At an early age Jerry accepted Christ as his Lord and personal savior. He joined Bethel Church in Anniston, Alabama. Our beloved Jerry, passed peacefully on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at the age of 71. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Westley Satcher and Idell Perkins; his sister, Elaine Bagley Tenner; and four brothers, Emerson Perkins, Thomas Perkins, Reverend Westley Satcher, Jr; and Barry Perkins. He leaves to cherish his loving memories: his children, Kimberly (William) Boynton of Grass Lake, MI; Jerry (Sybil) Perkins Jr. of Oxford, Al; Jerry Moore of Detroit, Mi; and Kamikco Perkins Stewart of Columbus, Oh; The Lord also blessed him with other children; Jerry Smith, Robert Moore, and DeJuan Perkins; his siblings, Ernest Dell Keith, Bryce Satcher, Martha Perkins, Frank (Bonnie) Perkins, Leander (Joyce) Perkins, Freddie Satcher, Kenneth Satcher, Lula Mae Hampton and Glory Ann Cook; 24 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
