Willie Huguley, a cherished father, brother, and friend to many was born on December 5, 1950, in Anniston, Alabama, to the union of Dan Huguley, Jr. and Emma Patterson Huguley. Willie's life was one of resilience, strength, and compassion. He was accepted Christ at a young age and united with Haven United Methodist Church. He was a remarkable individual, known for his infectious laughter, warm smile, and deep love for his family and friends. After graduating from Cobb Avenue High School in 1970, Willie dedicated several years of his life to serving the United States Army, showing determination and commitment to his country. Following his honorable discharge, he embarked on a long and successful career with the City of Georgia, and later retired from the transportation industry as a skilled truck driver. Known affectionately as "Meat" by his loved ones, Willie had a heart of gold. He selflessly gave to those in need, touched many lives with his generosity, and always lent a helping hand when called upon. His daughter Donna Allen fondly remembers him as the best father anyone could have asked for. Outside of work, Willie found great joy in fishing and sailing. He found a sense of peace and contentment in nature.

His expertise in heating and air repair was unparalleled, earning him the reputation of a dependable and skilled HVAC technician. On Thursday, January 18, 2024, Mr. Willie "Meat" Huguley departed this walk of life and entered the heavenly realm joining his parents, Dan and Emma Huguley, wife, Bettie Huguley, brothers, Narvle T. Huguley, Dennis LeHarold Huguley, and Edgar James Huguley, and sisters, Pauline Seals, Annette Patterson, and Janette Patterson, aunt, Carrie Stubbs, and brother-in-law, Marvin Arnold. Willie will be forever etched in our hearts as a loving father, brother, and friend.

He is survived by his daughters Donna Allen of Anniston, AL and Linda Nunn of Carrollton, GA, who will continue to carry his legacy of love and kindness forward; his sisters, Ora Newton of Douglasville, GA, Johnnie (Nathaniel) Davis of Anniston, AL, and Vivian Arnold of Dayton, OH; his brothers, Pastor Dann Douglas (Anne) Huguley of Anniston, AL and Edmond Huguley of Birmingham, AL; his three adorable grandchildren, LouJuan Allen of Anniston, AL, TaCouya Allen of Jacksonville, FL, and Jelani Reid of Carrollton, GA; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were touched by his compassionate spirit. Willie Huguley will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched. His love, kindness, and steadfast faith will continue to inspire us. May his soul find eternal peace and may his memory forever be a blessing.
