Obituary For Harold James Wilkes

Harold Wilkes was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on March 17, 1946, the only child of the late Hurley and Bunice Wilkes. Harold was blessed with one daughter Yolanda Wilkes, who preceded him in death. He gained his wings on May 26, 2020. He was educated in the Atlanta Public School system and worked as a roofer with Tip Top Roofing in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2002, Harold joined Set Free Ministries in Gainesville, Georgia, under the leadership of Rev. Keenan McCranny. He taught bible study on Monday nights. Harold was faithful to his ministry and enjoyed the fellowship of the friends he met within the ministry. They became like family to him. He will truly be missed by Set Free Ministries. To cherish memories, Harold leaves his wife, Mary Grimes Wilkes, two first cousins, Margaret Hester & Bette Ferrell, four grandchildren, and a host of family and friends. The visitation will be held Monday, June 1, 2020, at the mortuary from 12 Noon until 4 pm. graveside service is Tuesday, June 2, 2020, at 1 pm at Chest Hill Cemetery 2002 Moreland Ave, Face masks should be worn at the visitation and graveside service.
