My condolences to the Collins Family.
I have known Lolita for over 40 years from beautiful Cleveland, Ohio. She was always an exceptional individual and very supportive of activities supporting my Brothers of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. She was very sweet and always engaging in conversation and laughter. We had the pleasure of working together at First Data Financial Services in the '90s here in Atlanta and enjoyed our opportunity to be co-workers. I will solely miss Lolita and her true friendship. May Gold provide you comfort as you have transitioned from labor to leisure. You have earned your wings of Glory. My thoughts and prayers to the entire Collins family and especially her daughter. Always your friend abd buddy Martin Raxton - Cleveland, Ohio Chanel Class of 1982.
It is with heavy heart I leave these words to the family of Lolita Collins. I met Lolita when we pledged Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority in the Fall of 1986. I have precious memories of us strategizing with our line sisters to meet our shared goals, laughing all the way! With her quick wit and sweet disposition, Lolita would always make everyone around her smile. While she is indeed gone too soon.... Lolita leaves this world having touched many hearts. There is no doubt that she was welcomed into the Kingdom of Glory, for her job well done. To the family, may your hearts find peace in remembering the healing words of a favored hymn: "Earth has no sorrow, that Heaven cannot heal."

I was heartbroken to hear of Lolita's passing that fateful Wednesday night. I first met Lolita years ago while she was employed by the GA State DCA. I later encountered her again when we worked closely together at Fulton County Department of Housing and Community Development Department. Lolita was truly a pleasant person, intelligent, caring, and the one person you could depend on in a crunch. Even after she went to the City of Atlanta, I still called to seek her wise counsel. It was uplifting knowing and working with Lolita. It is still difficult to wrap my head around the fact that Lolita is no longer with us. May God guide and strengthen her family at this time. Gone but not forgotten, Rest In Eternal Peace. Errol Newark.
We were heartbroken to learn of Lolita's passing. We will miss her and her patient, and kind spirit. Our sincere condolences to the family. Love, Metro Fair Housing Services Staff
Words cannot describe the loss I have felt with this news. I offer my sincerest condolences to her family especially her daughter Benee. I had the pleasure of being their praise dance leader for years and that is how our bond started. I'm going to miss being your cheerleader Lo. Love you for life! Ms Dee (Pastor Dee Lester Williams)
I first met Lolita back in Junior High I think in 8th grade and have been in contact with her ever since. She always encouraged me to be myself and not follow the crowd. Lolita was a leader and role model before many of us even knew the meaning. I really enjoyed her at our 20th high school class reunion. I last sent her a text the day after the state of GA. claimed those two recent Senate seats!!! Sis you were the sweetest and kindest soul to come from DEVILLE!!! I will always love and miss you. God bless her soul and her family.
It is with much sadness that I leave my condolences for the Collins Family. I will sincerely miss Lolita and will always remember her kindness and especially the love she showed to my daughter. Her words of encouragement will stick with me. A wonderful woman, truly. May she rest well and watch diligently over her loved ones. (Semira & Adanma)

Lolita was a hardworking individual but more importantly she was always a pleasant beam of light, offering encouragement and positivity on every engagement. We met 10 years ago through our professional paths and maintained a consistent and strong desire to do right by our communities and for our communities. Lolita's tenacity and grace will be missed on all levels. I pray the family's strength during these hard times. God has all control and makes no mistakes. Rest well Lolita.

My most sincere condolences to the family of Lolita Collins. I was heart broken to hear of her passing. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you for more comfort, strength and peace in Jesus name. 1 Thessalonians 4 gives us hope that we will one day see her again. Rest In Peace🙏 Tracy Faulkner AKA, Alpha Pi, CAU, Atlanta, GA - Fall 1985 AKA, Omega Theta Omega, Dubai, UAE - Presently ————————————— 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 English Standard Version The Coming of the Lord
13 But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. 14 For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. 15 For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord,[a] that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.
