Obituary For Nathaniel Reynolds

Graveside Service will be held Saturday, March 20, 2021, at 11 AM at Southview Cemetery. No public viewing will be held at the funeral home or cemetery. The Cortege will depart Goolsby Mortuary at 10:45 AM on the day of service. Nathaniel Reynolds Sr was born June 14, 1959, in Tallahassee, Florida, to the late Katie Reynolds. He received his education in the Leon County Public School District and graduated from Amos P. Godby High School, Tallahassee, Florida. After high school, he joined the Job Core and relocated to Atlanta, Georgia. Nathaniel fathered three sons, Nathaniel Jr, Jamal, and Anton, of which Nathaniel Jr. preceded him in death. He met and married Betty Dowell- Reynolds on June 30, 2006, and gained a beautiful daughter named Kelly. Nathaniel was affectionally called granddaddy by his co-workers at Dekalb County Government, where he was a loyal employee for eleven and a half years. He was called “ Felix” and “ Nat” by his friends and family. Nathaniel never met a stranger, his personality was magnetic, and he was loved by many. He leaves behind a loving wife of thirty years, Betty Reynolds, two sons, Jamal Reynolds and Anton Reynolds, a loving daughter, Kelly Dowell, three sisters, Daisy Carney (William), Marie Mitchell, and Robin Massey, numerous grandchildren, three sisters-in-law, Brenda Williams (Marty), Shirley Dowell and Letitia Dowell, three aunts and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
