Bessie Mitchell

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of my Aunt Bessie. Although we didn't see one another often, she made me feel so special every time I was in her presence. The last time I visited her home, my wife and I thought the house was on fire because there was so much smoke coming from the house when we pulled up. Once we stepped out of the car and entered her home, we realized that Aunt Bessie was in the kitchen making majic. She prepared one of the best meals we had ever experienced. I found out later that she prepared that meal just because she knew I would be in town. That's the type of kindness that will never be forgotten.

May God comfort us in this time of sorrow. Bessie was a great auntie. One of the best cooks I have ever known. Loved everything she made. Dem greens were my personal favorite. We will miss you and forever love you.
