Obituary For Daniel Harrison Jr.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of
Greene Funeral Home Inc., 814 Franklin Street, Alexandria, VA 22314
Daniel Harrison, known affectionately as Dan, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026, due to complications following a stroke. He was a devoted father and grandfather, leaving behind his two sons, Zach and Micah, and his cherished grandson, Logan.
Dan was preceded in death by his beloved wife of over 40 years, Myra. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support for their family.
A man of great character, Dan was known for his generosity and kindness. He had a deep desire to help others whenever he could and always strived to do his best. His family and friends will remember him not only for his acts of kindness but also for his warm spirit and unwavering dedication to those he loved.
Though his absence will be deeply felt, we take comfort in knowing that we are all better for having had him in our lives. Dan leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and a commitment to making the world around him a better place.
In honor of Dan’s memory, we invite all who knew him to celebrate his life and the impact he made on so many.

Family, Zach and Micah, I am so sorry to hear of Danny's passing. He was a great friend and cousin. In the few times I met Dan, I couldn't help but love this giant of a man who radiated so much warmth, humor, and joy. I know something of his greatness and character because I see it reflected in his posterity. Our hearts go out to you for your loss.
