For all of my 58 years as Pastor of the Beulah Baptist Church and, even thereafter, Nelson E. Greene, Jr. - my friend - was one of God's chosen gifts to us and the entire City of Alexandria community. His commitment, his loyalty and love for people, was a reflection of the gifts entrusted in him to daily serve the people that God so loved. And, how well were his works. His work is done now. What a great man and family. Last year in March he was holding my hand as I buried my husband and addressed my family as follows: "People ask how I do this, its to honor people of God and I know this was a man of God" Mr Green has a beautifully special crown now.
