Add A Condolence

To the family of Otis McCane,

Your father, grandfather, and leader sowed deeply into the lives around him. The strength you carry, the faith you practice, the compassion you show---these are reflections of him. His wisdom didn't disappear; it lives on in the choices you make, the stories you tell, and the way you continue to love one another.

He supported so many of us (especially me in every endeavor I led); and that says something profound about his character. He believed in people. He invested in their growth. He saw potential and nurtured it. That kind of spirit doesn't die; it multiplies.

May you find peace in knowing he finished his race well. May you find comfort in the memories that still shine. May you find strength in each other as you carry his legacy foward.

As we mourn his passing, we honor the legacy he leaves behind---a legacy of faith, strength, kindness, and steadfast devotion to God, and his people. That legacy will live on in every life he touched, every ministry he strengethened, and every soul he encouraged.

Blessings to the family. Brother Otis, thank you.

Johnnie and I were saddened to learn of the passing of this kind man we met by chance at a hotel in Silver Spring, Maryland, who shared roots with us in Alabama. His warmth, conversation, and unexpected connection left a lasting impression on our lives. Our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. We will never forget Mr. Otis. May he rest in peace.

My favorite guy to work with when I started my career at Wash.Gas in 1968 at just 19 years old! Otis took me under his wing and would always ask me, "Do you want to work overtime tonight"? And of course I said yes every time. Gonna miss him tremendously! My heartfelt condolences to his family!

My Buddy, I'll miss our conversations (laughs) reminiscing about all our good times at Washington Gas, who we called, "Mother Gas". Otis, Rest In Peace with the love of you life, Sandra! Thanks for being my friend for over 40 years, wow!
