Andrea Denise Malker was fondly known as Annie by her friends and family. Andrea graced her family with her arrival on September 27, 1989 in Gastonia, North Carolina. She was the oldest of three children born to Anthony and Coleen Brooks Malker. Andrea was a very independent and strong willed young lady even in her early years. She was her mother’s best friend and the apple of her da da’s eye (the name she affectionately called her dad, even in adulthood).
Andrea was baptized at an early age and became a member of the Fancy Hill Baptist Church. She served on the Usher Board and sang in the Youth Choir. Andrea participated in the Gaston County Missionary Baptist Association Oratorical Contest in the Preparatory and Senior Division. She won a 1st place award in the Preparatory and 3rd place in the Senior Division.
Andrea graduated from Forestview High School in 2007. She also attended Highland School of Technology in 2003. Andrea was a member of The Forestview Marching Band all four years of her High School career. Andrea participated in the 2006 Alpha Kappa Alpha Debutante Ball.
Andrea continued her education at Winston Salem State University for two years. She went on to complete her Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Andrea worked for Food Lion as a Customer Service Representative and she worked at Cracker Barrel as a waitress. Andrea also worked for Synergy Legal Staffing Company.
Andrea was preceded in death by her grandfather, Jesse Malker, Jr.
She leaves to cherish fond memories with her mother and father, Anthony and Coleen Malker, her two brothers, Miles Malker, (wife Morgan), Cherryville, NC, and Jordan Malker, Gastonia NC; grandparents, J.Van and Hattie Brooks and Linda Malker, aunts, Colette Hill (Larry), Angela Stroud (Leander), Stacey Malker-Thomas (Daniel), uncle, Ivan Brooks (Catina). Special cousins, Maiya Stroud, Whitney and Alexis Hill, Ivan Brooks Jr., Aaliyah Brooks, Jasmine Malker who has gained her wings, and her fiance, Melvin Flomo, and a host of great aunts and uncles.
Andrea will forever be missed and loved.

Funeral: Wednesday; October 27, 2021; 1:00 p.m. at Fancy Hill Baptist Church, Dallas, NC
Visitation: thirty minutes before the service at the church
Interment: Fancy Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Dallas
