Obituary For Margie Hardin
Mrs. Margie Renice “Neesie” C. Hardin, daughter of the late Mr. Lee G. and Mrs. Nellie Rose Crockett, was born on April 20, 1960 in Gaston County, North Carolina and departed this life on Sunday, May 9, 2021.
Nessie was a loving wife and mother to her two daughters and her eight grandchildren. Neesie worked as a dedicated worker at Beverly Knits in Bessemer City for over 30 years. She was a faithful member of Friendship Christian Church; participating on the Mass and Hymn choirs and with various activities until her illness prevented her from attending. Neesie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed her close knit relationship and family trips with her siblings.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fredrick “Fray” Charles Hardin, her brother Lee Grant Crockett, Jr., sister: Kulu, and nephew: Lamont Crockett.
She is survived by her daughters; Kimberly LaRose Garvin-Crawford (Lamar) of Gastonia, NC and Tyronda Latrice Hardin of Gastonia, NC; two brothers; Thomas Burris of Gaffney, SC, and Grant A. Peoples (Diane) of Providence, RI, two sisters; Linda C. Hill (Alfred) of Gastonia, NC and Brenda C. Jeffries (Joel) of Gastonia, NC; one brother-in-law, Darryl Hardin of Gastonia, NC, four sisters-in-law, Henrietta “Dee” Allison of Bessemer City, NC, Asinda Brandon of Bessemer City, NC, Aminda Hardin of Gastonia, NC, and Harriet Forney (Eric) of Rocky Point, NC, eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, her mother-in-law, Marie H. Kendricks of Gastonia, NC; as well as her life-long best friend, Gwen Brown of Gastonia, NC, and a host of other nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Memorial Service on Saturday; May 15, 2021 at Gregory Funeral Service Chapel at 12 noon.
