Marion Wigmore Miner, passed away peacefully at her home on September 22, 2026, in Belmont, North Carolina, at the age of 72.

Born on July 19, 1954, in Milngavie, Scotland, Marion immigrated to the United States with her family at the age of six. She built a life marked by hard work, compassion, and dedication to others. Among her many talents and accomplishments, she devoted more than 30 years to a career in healthcare, serving countless patients and making a lasting difference through her kindness and commitment.

Above all, Marion was a loving mother and a devoted "Gami." She found her greatest joy in her family and treasured every moment spent with them. She is lovingly remembered by her son, Riley Heckman, his wife, Laura; her beloved granddaughter, Payden, who held a special place in her heart; her daughter, Jennifer Gray; and siblings Ginny, Jan and Robert.

Marion was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Mary Wigmore, and her eldest brother, Al. It brings comfort to know they are reunited once again.

Marion's faith was an important part of her life, and we find peace in knowing she is now in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father. We like to imagine her reunited with those she loved, enjoying a hot cup of tea and a piece of Scottish shortbread, just as she always loved.
