Matthew James Watkins, son of the late Darrell La-varr Crawford, Sr. and Tonya Watkins was born on August 11, 2002, in Gaston County, NC and departed this life on Friday; January 20, 2023 in Bessmer City, NC.

In 2016, Matthew attended Cherryville High School. He loved making money and street-wear fashion. He had a passion for video games and traveling to different places to see and try new things.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Darrell La-varr Crawford, Sr and his grandfathers, Michael Lee Starling and James Walter Watkins and his great grandmothers, Georgia Elam Starling and Evelyn Watkins.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Tonya D Watkins, and his grandmother, Peggy L Starling and his uncle, Joshua J Watkins and his brother, Darrell L Crawford, Jr. and his sisters, Breanna L Crawford, Brittany N Crawford, Chloe D Crawford and other friends and relatives.

Private service was held by the family.
