Obituary For Milton Crosby
Milton Lawson “Dip” Crosby was born to Charlie and Mildred Crosby on April 21, 1958 and passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on Tuesday; September 29, 2020.
Milton attended South Point High in Belmont, NC. He later served his county in the United States Army. Milton worked for the Gaston County Access for many years.
Everyone that met Milton loved his jovial spirit and infectious laugh. Milton loved watching sports and was an avid softball player in his younger years. No one could play short stop better than Milton, according to him.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his great aunt: Candy Mitchell; aunts: Mary Love, and Sarah Miller and his niece: Candace Mitchell.
Those left to cherish his memories are his beloved wife of fifteen years: Sibyl Crosby, one daughter: Ariel (Daion) of Kings Mountain, NC; stepson: Ruben; stepdaughters: ChristFima and Ruby; mother-in-law: Dorothy McDowell of Gastonia, NC; two sisters: Frances Mitchell of Belmont, NC and Pamela Mitchell of Gastonia, NC; one brother: Charles Mitchell of Oxford, England; four sisters-in-law: Sheila and Mary of Gastonia, NC, Helen of Dallas, NC and Veter Ann of Charlotte, NC; one brother-in-law: Victor (Mary) and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Walk thru viewing at the funeral home on Monday from 6 until 8
All other services will be private.
Masks required at all services and private service will be live on Gregory Funeral Service facebook page at 2:00 on Tuesday.

He stayed with my family when his Daddy wanted to play cards. the only time he was not there is when he went to the military. I will miss you laughing at something silly. My brother, Milton Crosby May not have been my biological brother but he was my brother in spirit. We were raised together as siblings & we called my grandmother Candy Mitchell MAMA! She raised me, Milton, Frances & Charles Mitchell as though we were HER children. She NEVER faulted in her duties as our guardian. We all turned out to be productive citizens and I know we made her proud. Milton was and ALWAYS will be loved & missed by our family. We know his soul is in heaven and I just want EVERYONE to know that MILTON CROSBY fought the good fight, but God said he he doesn't have to fight anymore. No more pain, just PEACE. I am going to miss that smile he always had and you are going to missed gone but never forgotten we love you uncle Milton(biggie)it ain't going be the same riding by and you sitting the front proch wavying. We going miss coming to the cook outs and seeing you there. We know you are not in no more pain just keep looking down on us you are our angle now.
To Milton Lawson Crosby Family: Milton was my great-Uncle Charlie Lawson Crosby only child. Uncle Charlie and Aunt Mildren would drive my mother Mary Elizabeth Williams Love to visit my great-aunts and uncles in Fairfield County, Chester County, Spartanburg County, South Carolina and Rowan County, North Carolina. Milton would come to Charlotte to be with and play with my brothers Clyde Love (Deceased), Mannie Robert Love, Jr. (Junior)and myself John W. Love, Sr. We will be praying for you.
