Norma L. Walker, better known as Norm, was born on June 15, 1934, in York County, South Carolina. She departed this life on Monday; July 11, 2022, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, North Carolina.
Norm left home at an early age. She lived in Baltimore, Maryland for a few years before moving to New York. While in New York, she was employed with Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, working as a transporter. After thirty years of service at the hospital she retired and moved back to Gastonia, North Carolina. She reinstated her membership at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church where she served as assistant Youth Sunday School teacher, a member of the Hymn Choir and Gospel Chorus. She was a prayer warrior and a member of the Senior Citizens of Gastonia.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters: Beatrice Smith, Olliemae Walker, Dorothy Walker, Virginia Dulin and Edna Lockard and three brothers: Calvin Walker, Clyde Walker, and Billy Walker.
Norm leaves precious memories to her two sisters: Lillian Abernathy and Emma Addison and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral on Saturday; July 16, 2022 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Clover, SC at 1:00 with thirty minute visitation before the service
Interment: Church Cemetery
