Funeral on Saturday; March 23, 2024 at Trinity Unity AME Zion Church, Gastonia at 12 noon.
Visitation begins at 11:00 a.m. with family arriving at 11:30 a.m.
Interment: Trinity Unity Church Cemetery, Gastonia

My dear Uncle OD. Your life was filled love, laughter, and joy. U shared that n yourself with all U knew through all your friendliness. Memories abound. A nickle or dime for cleaning the tub. Being in 1st grade n looking across campus at Reid High, seeing Reatha in 6th n U as a senior. U, Uncle Dobie n Granddaddy Otis hunting on Thanksgiving day. U taking me n Reatha on the train to New York in 1958, to be rejoined with our parents. U were only 12. U taking me to Neely's Grove AMEZion, with U. We walked that long dusty road together. I love U, for all U were/are to me. I'll try not to mourn too long. Cause U deserve your rest. So, rest easy Unc. Always n forever, Harriet
