Obituary For Rev. Shirley Seegars-Parker

Rev. Shirley Seegars-Parker was the daughter of the late Dorothy Woods and Thomas A. Huntley, Sr. She was born on July 25, 1950, and departed this life on earth to be with her Savior on Monday; April 25, 2022.

Shirley Ann was educated in the Mecklenburg County School system. She then attended and graduated from Rutledge College in Charlotte, North Carolina where she earned a Bachelor degree. She was a school teacher for many years and a member of Springfield Memorial Baptist Church in Stanley, North Carolina where she was an Associate Minister, taught Sunday School, and a member of the Hymn Choir. She was well liked by all who knew her. Shirley Ann was a strong and loving mother, wife, sister, aunt, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers: Eric Huntley and Kelan Huntley; and her sister: Arkanson Elizabeth Sells.

She leaves to cherish precious memories to her husband: Rev. Walter Parker, Sr., her daughter: Virginia Seegars; sisters: Thomasina Seabolt, Tamela Adams, Melissa Huntley, Roshonda Huntley, and Rosalyn Johnson; brothers: James Watson, Jr., Thomas A. Huntley, Jr., Damon Huntley, Phillip Johnson and Terrance Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Viewing at the funeral home on Friday; April 29, 2022 from 4 until 6

Funeral on Saturday; April 30, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Springfield Baptist Church, Stanley with thirty minute visitation before the service
