Robin Eyvonne McClure was a devoted mother and grandmother. She entered her eternal rest on Friday, September 17, 2021 with her daughter, Wendy by her side. Robin was born in Gastonia, NC at the old Negro Hospital on February 23, 1959. She was the daughter of the late Ollie Ruth McClure and James “Jake” McClure, Sr.
Robin received her education at North Gaston High School. She took a position at Fire Yarns and later joined A&E before becoming a homemaker.
Robin accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. During her vibrant years, Robin was an active member of Friday Memorial Baptist Church where she served on the usher board and hymn choir.
Robin was known as a humorous and loving person. She often called family members to ensure they were well and kept everyone laughing and feeling loved.
In addition to her parents, Robin was proceeded in death by her brother, Ronnie McClure.
Robin is survived by her son, Randy McClure (April) of South Carolina; daughter, Wendy McClure of the home in Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Charity, Zay, AJ, Phonisa, Chris, Dominique, Rashaad, Ahmad, Alexis, Aariana, Teagan, Teleaha; great grandchildren, Honor, Classic, Chase, Alonna, Jadan, sisters, Mary Brandon (David), Patricia Lowery (Charles), Rebecca McClure, Marlene Smith, Shirlene Segars (Eddie), James McClure (Sherry), Paul Igenburg (Crystal), Rufus Hill (Bonnie); and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Viewing at the funeral home on Friday; September 24, 2021 from 3 until 7
Funeral on Saturday; September 25, 2021; Gregory Funeral Service Chapel; 12 noon
Visitation: thirty minutes before the service
Masks required at all services and funeral will be live on Gregory Funeral Service facebook page at 12 noon
