Obituary For Sondra Thompson

Mrs. Sondra Nicole Brown Thompson was born in Gaston County, North Carolina on December 12, 1970 to the late Roger Brown and the late Sallie Mae Crawford Brown. She transitioned from her earthly home on Thursday; March 18, 2021 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, North Carolina.

Sondra was educated in the Gaston County School System and was a 1989 graduate of North Gaston High School in Dallas, North Carolina. She was employed at Wendy, Burger King and Gaston Skills for several years. Sondra attended Greater New Mills Chapel Church where she served on the Usher Board, Choir and Nurses Guild. She loved dressing up, shopping and making sure her nails were done. She will be truly missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Roger and Sallie Brown and two brothers: Terrance Kennedy and Roger Kennedy.

Cherished memories are left for her husband: David Kenneth Thompson; her children: Davon Thompson, Davian Nicole Thompson, Destiny Thompson, J’Halen Brown and Melody Q. Thompson; her siblings: Michelle Brown, Prentiss Brown, Parris Brown, John Paul Kennedy and Janice Kennedy and a host of other relatives and friends.

Our grief is tempered in knowing that Sondra is free from her earthly pain and suffering. We are comforted in our faith that a loving and merciful God has received Sondra into his loving arms.

Viewing will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 2 until 6.

Funeral is Sunday; 1:00 p.m. at Greater New Mills Chapel Church-608 Bessemer City Road, Gastonia

Visitation is thirty minutes before the service at the church
