Obituary For John Arthur Clark

On January 29, 1938, a baby boy was born in Cuthbert (Randolph County), Georgia to the late Ike Clark and Essie Bell Grooms Clark. They named him John Arthur Clark. He was the forth of thirteen children. Four of his siblings, Jacob Clark, Willie Brown Clark, Flossie Clark Parker, Dorothy Clark Hinds and his son Reginald "Beaver" Clark preceded him in death.

John was educated in the public schools of Randolph County. He accepted Christ at an early age and joined New Salem C.M.E. Church. He served as a Stewart, on the Trustee Board and sang in the choir. He also proudly served as president of the Southwest Singing Convention.

John was married to the former Virginia Paramore for 43 years. They were the parent of two children, Veronica and Reginald and two grandsons, Christopher and Jeremy.

Everyone knew that John's favorate pastime was fishing. If he heard that the fish were biting he would stop cutting hair and tell his customers he would be back tomorrow. It did not matter how for he had to drive. He had sereral fishing partners.

On March 8, 2006 in Albany, Georgia, John Arthur Clark departed this earthly life of love for his family, his church, his friends and his fishing buddies. He leave to cherish his memory, his devoted wife, Virginia Paramore Clark; daughter, Veronica Clark; four sisters, Bessie Clark of Paterson, NJ, Sarah (Otis) Starling of Roselle, NJ, Mary(Joseph)Brown of Paterson, NJ, and Betty Clark of Lindon, NJ; four brothers, Isaac(Valeria) Clark of Atlanta, GA, Homer(Karen) Clark of Lindon, NJ, Fady(Georgia) Clark of Cuthbert, GA, Benjamin(Gloria) Clark of Athens, GA; two grandsons, Christopher Hayes and Jeremy Clark of Cuthbert, GA; four sisters-in-law, Grace Paramore and Annie Ruth Jackson of Cuthbert, GA, Thelma Paramore and Minnie Proctor of Newark, NJ; four nrothers-in-law, Whit Paramore of Cuthbert, GA, Willie Paramore, Norman Paramore, Howard(Joyce) Paramore of Orlando, FL; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, fishing partners and many friends.
