Mr. Joseph Mathis was born on October 3, 1943 in Milan, Georgia. He was the oldest child of the late Mr. Charlie Paulhill and the late Mrs. Ellen Whitehead Paulhill.

He married his soul mate of 39 years Ms. Ollie M. Lovette. To this union one son was born, Quincy Joseph Mathis.

Joseph was a well known electrician. He owned three TV repair businesses in the late 70’s and early 80’s. He was a devout artist. Anyone that was blessed to have known Joseph can truly say he was a well liked and easy going man that was comfortable in his own skin.

Joseph departed this life on July 17, 2009. He leaves to cherish his loving memory; wife, Mrs. Ollie M. Mathis; three daughters, Felicia Allen, Rosalyn Warner, Sakatha Davenport; four sons, Gary Mathis, John Wesley Mathis, Quincy Mathis and Anthony Smith; three brothers, Alonzo (Annie Ruth) Paulhill, Johnny (Shirley) Paulhill and Charlie (Alfreda) Paulhill, Jr; fourteen grandchildren; two aunts, a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friend.
