In profound sorrow we announce the passing of Ms. Korron Lillian Dye. Celebration of Life will be Friday, August 8, 2025 12 noon at Grissom-Clark Eastlake Chapel 227 East Lake Dr SE Atlanta, GA 30317. Viewing will be Thursday, August 8, 2025 10am- 5:00pm. Service will be live-streamed on our website under video tributes.

Korron Lillion Dye, was born on July 9, 1982, the second child of Raynetta McMillion Dye and Grady Dye Jr.

A proud graduate of Southwest DeKalb High School’s Class of 2000, Korron showcased her creativity and school spirit as a member of the marching band, where she played the flute.

In 2004, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, graduating Cum Laude and receiving honors from both Alpha Kappa Mu and Sigma Theta Tau from Albany State University. Passionate about caring for others, she became a certified pediatric nurse and later earned her Master of Science in Nursing Informatics from the University of Phoenix in 2014.

For more than two decades, Korron devoted her career to caring for both pediatric and adult patients. Her professional journey spanned multiple respected healthcare institutions, including Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, Emory University Hospital, DeKalb Gastroenterology Associates, and Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she answered the call as a travel nurse, serving with courage and compassion in a time of great need.

Korron’s dedication to her profession was reflected in her numerous certifications and affiliations, including Pediatric Nursing, Nursing Informatics, HIMSS, SPN, AAP, and GPNA. She was also a proud and active member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Sigma Mu Zeta Chapter.

Above all, Korron was a woman of deep faith who trusted in God’s guidance throughout her life. Her spiritual foundation shaped the way she cared for others—with compassion, humility, and grace. She lived by the belief that her gifts were meant to be shared in service to others, and she carried her faith as a source of strength through every season of her life.

Outside of nursing, Korron embraced life with boundless enthusiasm. She had a passion for competitive road racing, participating in numerous events and achieving a milestone in 2017 by completing the Georgia Peach Women’s Triathlon. She poured the same dedication into her community, volunteering with organizations such as the Atlanta Track Club, Strong4Life, Atlanta Mission, Future Foundation, and Habitat for Humanity. She remained connected to her alma mater through the Albany State University Alumni Association and enjoyed the arts, particularly stand-up comedy and podcasting.

Korron will be remembered for her warm heart, vibrant personality, quick wit, and tireless devotion to uplifting others. Her generosity and commitment to care left a lasting impact on all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, excellence, empathy, and service that will continue to inspire.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Grady Dye Jr. and Raynetta McMillion Dye. She is survived by her loving older brother Kyle Dye, her cherished nephew and niece Grayson and Morgan Dye, and a host of family and friends who adored her
