He was born Arthur Ronald Clark, the youngest of two children to the late Arthur and Katherine Brown Clark in Atlanta, GA at Grady Hospital. Arthur Clark started his education at John Hope Elementary and attended Howard High School for his 8th grade year. He entered and graduated from Murphy High School in 1968 with the 2nd highest GPA in his class as the Salutatorian. Arthur was also a member of the Beta Club and Soccer team as well the winner of the Elks Oratorical Contest. After graduating high school he entered Morehouse College where he received a BS Degree in Business Administration with a minor in Accounting. Arthur continued his education at Atlanta University with a fellowship; he graduated with the Class of 1974 to receive an MBA in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance.
On May 18, 1973, he was united in holy matrimony to Empress Dylanda Robinson. They were married by Revered T. P. Grissom, Sr. From this union was born two children. On Sunday, May 17, 1998 Arthur and Empress Clark renewed their vows during a wedding ceremony that celebrated their 25th year of marriage. Their sons, Reginald and Aaron Clark, participated. Reginald escorted his mother to the altar and Aaron played a solo on his saxophone.
Arthur began his career at the First National Bank in Atlanta, GA as a bank auditor. After working several years as a self employed accountant, he worked for over 17 years at Clark Atlanta University in the Office of Grants and Contracts. During his final years, he worked at ASA in a job he thoroughly enjoyed.
Arthurs love for sports (Falcons, Hawks, Braves, etc.) was phenomenal. He watched with an unmatched intensity witnessed by only a close circle of friends and family. He was an avid runner/walker, exercising 5-7 days every week. One of the lasting memories we will have of Arthur Clark will be his self-taught skill in cooking and consumption of his favorite foods.
Arthur is survived by his widow, Empress Dylanda Robinson Clark, his two sons, Reginald Antonio Clark (Ashley) and Aaron Cornelius Clark, MD (Janise-Fiance), his soon to be born granddaughter (Ava Monroe Clark), Mrs. Marcia Robinson (Sister-in-law), Mrs. Marcielle Robinson Bell (Henry) and family, Mrs. Linda Robinson (Sister-in-law), Mrs. Damien Robinson Gobourne (Stephen) and family, a host of dear friends and life-long supporters of THE CLARK FAMILY ENDEAVORS.
