Lawrence Oladotun Ogunnowo was born on September 11, 1991 in Atlanta, Georgia to Frederick Gbadibo Ogunnowo and Osana Itohan Ogunnowo at Northside Hospital. His maternal grandmother Irenuma Asemota also played an important role his life by taking care of his from the day he was born. Although he was their second child, their love and adulation was second to none by no means. Lawrence was introduced to the Lord at an early age, and was baptized at Saint James Anglican Church, which would be the first step in forming an intimate relationship with the Lord. As a youth, he attended Saint James Montessori preschool and started his formal education in Gwinnett County at Jackson Elementary. During his childhood years, he spent his time playing with his brothers, cousins and neighbourhood friends. Although recognized as a quiet and reserved individual, he would soon grow up into a charming young man. He continued through the Gwinnett County public school system by attending Richard Hull Middle School and Peachtree Ridge High School. He was part of the Collins Hill recreational basketball team while at Hull and part of DECA while at Peachtree Ridge. Lawrence was known amongst his peers as more than a friend, but as someone who brought light into the room with his smile. His High school teachers also loved Lawrence and developed lasting relationships that would even carry over after his graduation. Lawrence graduated from Peachtree Ridge High School in May 2009 and began school that fall at Kennesaw State University majoring first in Accounting, but would later change his major to Finance. He was loved by all and touched everyone who came in contact with him. He joined SGA and ASA while at Kennesaw State and was an active member both organizations. Lawrence was a very ambitious individual who was determined to achieve scholastic success and was merited many scholarships while at Kennesaw State. Lawrence was called to the Lord on Friday, February 18th, 2011 in a tragic car accident. He will be remembered as a wonderful young man that brought with him joy and laughter wherever he went. He will be greatly missed by his family and loved ones but not forgotten.
