Norris Anderson, a native of Atlantan, was born August 10, 1952 to E.W. and Azzie Lee (Stinson) Anderson.
He attended Oglethorpe Elementary School and later transferred to M. Agnes Jones to complete his elementary education. He was a 1970 graduate of Booker T. Washington High School. Upon completion of high school, he attended Morris Brown College, where he was elected president of the freshman class. He later transferred to Georgia State University, where he received his B.A. Degree. After graduating, he was employed by MARTA for 18 years, retiring in 1998.
Norris joined Central United Methodist Church in 1997, and remained faithful, even during his illness. He was an active member of the United Methodist Men, the Board of Trustees, The New Beginnings Bible Class, The Male Chorus and The Stone Mountain Bible Group. When not at Central, Norris could often be found at Redemption Church, assisting Pastor Kay with any task placed before him.
Norris is survived by his wife: Audrey; two Daughters: Tomika and Norisha; the absolute loves of his life, his grandchildren: Javon, Naja, Jaden, and Janai; son-in-law: Sadat; God-daughters: Eboni and Jasmine; God-sons: Charles (Z) and Ajamu; three Aunts: Eunice Turner, Gladys (Carlton) Johnson, and Doris (Jonathan) Webb; in-laws: Joseph and Mary Amos; brothers-in-law: Kenneth (Doris) Amos and Michael (Sharon) Amos; adopted grandchildren: Sadeja and Justin; and a host of cousins and friends.
