Obituary For Mr. Thomas Trammell Walker, Sr.
Sgt. Thomas T. Walker, Sr. (Mel) was born on February 17, 1962 to Thomas N. and Betty C. Walker in Atlanta, Georgia. He was the first child born to this union Thomas received his early education at Kirkwood Elementary School and graduated from North Fulton High School in Atlanta, Georgia. In 1981 he joined the United States Army and served for fifteen years, where he served as a paratrooper and later became a Sergeant. While in the service he married Carman Smith and to this union three sons were born. They lived in North Carolina for many years. On Saturday, November 5, 2011 God called Thomas home to be with Him. He leaves to cherish him memory, three sons, Thomas, Jr., Thaddeus and Travis Walker; mother, Betty (William) Gibson; father, Thomas N. Walker; two sisters, Audrey and Natalie Walker; 4 grandchildren; former wife, Carman Walker; and a host of aunts uncles, cousins other relatives and friends.
