Obituary For Mr. Victor Anthony Davis

In profound sorrow we announce the passing of Mr. Victor Anthony Davis. Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, June 29 , 2021 11:00am at Central United Methodist Church 501 Martin Luther King Jr. Dr SW Atlanta GA 30314. Interment will be at Carver Memorial Gardens 350 Upper Riverdale Road Jonesboro, GA 30236. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 28, 2021 at Grissom-Clark Funeral Home 12 noon-6pm. 404-373-3191

A Time to Be Born: Victor Anthony Davis was born on December 16, 1953 to the late George Davis and the late Doris Y. Ward at Grady Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. A Time to Plant: Victor was exposed to Christ at an early age. He was baptized at Central United Methodist Church where he participated in the children choirs and Sunday School activities. He was also involved in the Butler Street and Ollie Street YMCA. At an early age, Victor showed mechanical potential by building miniature steam engines for small toy train sets. This interest was to serve him the rest of his life. A Time to Be Educated: He received his early education at the University Kindergarten. He later attended Our Lady of Lourdes, Berean Seventh Day Academy and graduated from St. Paul of the Cross Elementary School. Victor received his high school diploma from North Fulton High School. He and two other Black students were among the first to integrate the school during that time. After graduation, Victor attended Clayton State College. He later attended Atlanta Junior College where he developed skills in auto mechanics. A Time to Be Productive: Victor working career began as a mechanic for several foreign car dealerships in the Metropolitan Atlanta area. He worked many years for Troncilli Motors and Dyer and Dyer. Later, Victor struck out on his own and opened his own shops working exclusively on exotic high-end foreign cars as the Roll Royce, Jaguar, Porsche, and Mercedes Benz. Always an entrepreneur, he later opened a successful power tools service business. A Time to Transition: The last chapter of Victor’s life was closed when God Almighty called him home to an everlasting rest on June 19, 2021. A Time of Peace: As Vic enter into an everlasting peace, he leaves to cherish his memories his uncle, Allen Ward Jr. (Sharolyn); cousins Michael Gales (Washington D.C.), Allen Arthur Ward (Johari), Douglas Patrick Ward (Tavia), Christopher Joseph Ward, R. Hernando Harvey Jr. (Albany, Ga.), Keith Lawrence (Memphis, Tenn.), and a host in-laws, relatives, and friends.
