Obituary For Mrs. Addie Perry

In profound sorrow we announce the passing of Mrs. Addie Perry. Graveside Services will be Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Peachtree Memorial Park Mausoleum 5051 Peachtree Memorial Park Norcross, Georgia.

Addie Perry, the second daughter of the late Julius Perry, Sr. and Mozell Perry, was born August 28, 1936 in Twiggs County, Georgia. When the family had grown to four children, they moved to Passaic, N.J. Addie attended the public schools of Passaic. After graduation, she began working at Tempco Refrigeration in Newark, N.J. She later worked in administration at Linen and Things in Clifton, N.J. Addie accepted Christ as a child and joined Union Baptist Church. She loved the church and served faithfully in servant capacities over the years including the choir, the Nurse’s Unit, and the Usher Board. She loved shopping and traveling where she visited many states in the U.S.A. and foreign countries. Addie loved her nieces and nephews and you would often see her surrounded by two or three tagging along with her. She relocated to Ellenwood, G.A. in 2012 to be closer to those family members who had moved to Georgia earlier. Addie’s last two and a half years were spent at Roswell Nursing and Rehabilitation in Roswell, Georgia. She was called home to be with the Lord on Monday morning, January 4, 2021. Preceding her in death: parents, Julius, Sr. and Mozell Perry; brothers, Shirley Hodges, Peter J. Perry, Julius Perry, Jr., and Samuel M. Perry; sister, Walter Mary Mosely; and niece, Pamela Mosely Brown. Left to cherish her memory: brother, King (Glories) Perry; sister, Lois Allen; sisters-in-law Doris Perry, Maria Vega Perry, and Beverly Perry; nephews, Roger (Kim) Allen, Julius A Perry, Francisco Valdes, Jamal Perry, Marshall (Mary) Perry, Jason (Tamyra) Perry; nieces, Renee Hodges Hopkins, Lourdes (Simon) Barbosa, Cheryl Lynn Hodges, Regina Perry Holmes, Rosalind Banks, Mary Ann Hodges, Staci Hodges (Craig) Burton, Traci (Andrew) Lockett, Brooke (Donna) Smith-Perry, Beth M Perry (Matthew Somoroff), Jacqueline Perry; many great nieces and nephews, cousin Mary Davis, and many cousins, other relatives and friends.
