Mrs. Deloris Adams passed. Celebration of life will be Saturday, June 29, 2019 11:00am at the Grissom-Clark Eastlake Chapel.
Mrs. Deloris Adams was born to Mrs. Leola Davis-Clark and Mr. Charlie Reed in Yazoo City, MS. on August 5, 1943. She was raised in Anguilla, MS by her grandparents Mr. Ambrose Davis (who affectionately nicknamed her “Honey”) and Mrs. Ora Lee Davis. She was educated in the Mississippi School System before relocating to Chicago, IL.
While in Chicago she met Mr. Willie Maclin and they were wed on November 12, 1970. While married they raised a family traveling with the US Armed Forces. When stationed in Germany Mrs. Adams became a licensed cosmetologist and taught the trade to others stationed there. She would eventually relocate to Atlanta, GA where she would reside until her death.
Mrs. Adams loved to cook and was an avid reader. She was a counselor to many and would always have a listening ear and encouraging words to offer. She was a thoughtful and giving mother, friend and neighbor.
She leaves to cherish her memory three sons, Andre Haynes, Ira Maclin, Jarrad Maclin (Jeneen), one daughter, Verletta Maclin (Willie); an honorary daughter, Essie Serles, thirteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Until we meet again
“The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.” Numbers 6:24-26 Love Always,
