Janie Lou Johnson was born to the late James Harper and Edna Gales Wilder on November 29, 1936 in Atlanta, GA. She departed this life on February 15, 2018. Janie was the oldest of three sisters. She attended David T. Howard High School, Atlanta, Georgia. She was employed by Cagle’s Poultry Company in Atlanta, GA, where she was known as “bubblegum”. This is also where Janie, met her late husband, Joseph Johnson Sr. After Cagle’s, Janie and Joseph became business owners of Ship Hoagies & Steakhouse on 192 Auburn Avenue in Atlanta. Janie met her Spiritual mother, Lee Esther Ivory. She led Joseph and Janie Johnson to Christ and they accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. They joined Church of Atlanta Lighthouse. In the late 90’s she was employed at Fulton Teacher’s Board of Education. She was loved by her co-worker’s. Her nick name was called “bind it up,” because her favorite scripture was St. Matthews 18:19. “On Time God” was JJ’s favorite song. ”Madea’s” other hobby was cooking and she made the best Angel biscuits in town. She loved and cared about others. Janie Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Johnson Jr.; her mother, Edna G. Wilder; her sister, Harriet Earls; her daughter, Neva G. Chamblee and her son-in- law, Walter Chamblee. She leaves to cherish her memory two loving daughters, Mr. & Mrs. Willis & Anita Tatum and Nezzie R. White; two sons, Mr. & Mrs. Joseph & Edith Johnson and David Johnson (Stephanie); sister, Shirley Gales; aunt, Dorothy Hamilton; grandchildren, Jonathan (Kelly), David, Derrick, Nicole, Joseph Brandon, De’Angelo, Regina, Audrey, Angela, Angel, Jediah, Walter, Maria, Dreama and Asha; Twenty great grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends
