Obituary For Mrs. Jeanette Broughton

In profound sorrow we announce the passing of Mrs. Jeanette Broughton. Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, October 5,2021 at Grissom-Clark Eastlake Chapel at 11:00am. Viewing will be Monday, October 4, 2021 12noon-6pm.

Mrs. Jeanette Marlene Jones Broughton was born to Joseph C. Jones and Julia M. Jones on November 16, 1948, in Atlanta, Fulton County Georgia. She received her education from the Atlanta Public Schools System. She graduated from George Washington Carver High School in 1966. She was raised in the church from the time of her early life, beginning at White Chapel Methodist Church in South Atlanta. She was married to Dannie M. Broughton and was the mother of two children – Larry Smith and Eltunya O’Neal. She is preceded in death by her husband; one sister, Mary Germany; two brothers, Arthur Jones and Joseph Jones, Jr. She departed this life on September 29, 2021. She leaves to cherish her memory five precious grandchildren in order by age, Shontyrria A Smith, Derwin O’Neal Jr., Daniel O’Neal, Kimoni Smith and Jabari Smith; one great grandchild, Carter Polk and a host of nieces and nephews.
