In profound sorrow we announce the passing of Mrs. Patricia Marie Schadl. Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, February 11, 2025 11:00 am at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church 2560 Tilson Road Decatur, GA 30032. No Public Viewing.

Mrs. Patricia Marie Schadl was born in Memphis, Tennessee on February 16, 1947. She was the oldest of three children. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert Wade Franks and Edwina Franks, and her sister Edwina Lynn Franks, all of Memphis.

Pat attended Booker T. Washinton High School in Memphis and Lane College in Jackson, TN. While in college, she met Chuck Schadl, and they married in Memphis. After marriage, they decided to relocate to Atlanta to make their home. She became an active member of Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church where she became a teacher in the parish school. She also served as president of the Women’s Council, co-president of the Home & School Association, and headed many volunteer projects.

She and her husband raised three boys. Pat served as a guiding light for her own children and influenced the lives of hundreds of other children, including her students and, as a scout leader, many Girl Scouts. In all, Pat will be remembered as a loving mother, a devoted wife, friend, volunteer, and a positive influence to many.

Pat leaves, to cherish her precious memory, her husband John (Chuck) Schadl of Atlanta; her three sons and their families, John Scott Schadl, Jr. of Woodstock, GA, Mark Schadl and his wife Wanda of St. Augustine, FL, and Joshua Schadl of Fort Collins, CO; her brother Robert Franks of Memphis; seven grandchildren Chelsea (Charlie) Kilborn of Lithia Springs, GA, Jeremy Schadl of Weston, WI, Jazmin Schadl of Austell, GA, Erin Grant of St. Augustine, Cameron Schadl of Orlando, FL, and JJ Feuerstein and Aliyana Feuerstein of Woodstock; great granddaughter Braelynn Grant of St. Augustine; sister-in-law Susan Walker of Reno, NV; plus a host of cousins, a nephew, friends, and all members of her church family.

Pat, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, cousin, teacher, and friend to many, passed away on February 5, 2025 in Atlanta.
