Obituary For Mrs. Shirley Harper Jones
Graveside funeral rites for Shirley Harper Jones, 79, of Decatur will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 29, 2021 at Washington Memorial Gardens, 700 Jordan Lane, Decatur. Shirley departed this life to be with the Lord on Sunday morning, January 24, 2021.
An avid reader, lover of nature, gifted songbird, inquisitive traveler, devoted family member, and most importantly, Shirley Jones was a devout child of God. For 34 years, the Decatur native was a distinguished educator for the Fulton County School System.
Memories of her love and her spirit live on in her daughter, Laresa Shirleah Jones; her sister, Barbara Harper Lowe; brother-in-law, Dr. Robert Lowe; nephew, Renardo Lowe (Suzanne); great nephews, Justin and Kyle Lowe; great goddaughter, Elle Brown, and her beloved grand dog, Madden.

I have many fond memories of Shirley when we worked together at SLLewis.She was a mentor and Friend. I was blessed to know her.
