Obituary For Mrs.Sharon Ponder

In profound sorrow we announce the passing of Mrs. Sharon L. Ponder. Celebration of Life will be Thursday, April 14, 2022 2:00pm at East Lake United Methodist Church 2500 Hosea L Williams Dr. NE Atlanta, GA 30317. Interment will be at Resthaven Garden of Memory. Grissom-Clark Funeral Home.haron L. Henley Ponder (Peewee) passed peacefully on April 5, 2022 in the comfort of her daughter’s home with her family by her side. Sharon was born in Cordele, Georgia (Crisp County) on February 24, 1958 to the late Everlene Henley Ray and John L. Ray Sr. Sharon was educated in Crisp County in her early years and later moved to Atlanta, GA with her family and received further education in the Atlanta Public School System. After her schooling, she worked for the Coca Cola Company and later met her now deceased husband, Willie Ponder Sr. Sharon interests included cooking, singing, dancing, and joking around with whomever she came in contact with. She was a very sociable and friendly person. She was also kind and would do anything for her family or friends. Sharon was simply a happy person and full of life! She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Belinda Ray Brown and Kimberly Ray Brown. Sharon leaves to carry her memory, her children: Natasha Henley, Willie Ponder Jr., and Jasmine Ponder; siblings, Virginia Ray (Charles), John Ray Jr., and Valeska Ray; grandchildren, Johntavious Kaigler, Jewel Ponder, Jyla Ponder, Journey Giles, Justin Giles, and Paris Samples. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and an extended Rockyford Road family
