In profound sorrow we announce the passing of Ms. Barbara Seaborn. Viewing will be Friday, November 15, 2024 12 noon-6:00 pm at Grissom-Clark Eastlake Chapel.
Barbara Seaborn was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on June 1, 1954, to the late Charlie Seaborn and Exter Bigby Seaborn. She was the eldest of three sisters and attended Cross Keys School before graduating from Decatur High School. Barbara dedicated many years as a nursing assistant at Decatur Hospital, where she made a positive impact through her work.
Barbara was the proud mother of two children, son Travis Seaborn and daughter Sabrina Smith, who preceded her in death. She had a deep love for traveling and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Known for her outgoing personality, Barbara was outspoken, fun-loving, and embraced life with a spirit that brought joy to those around her. Her favorite phrases, "Aww man," "Who does that," and "That's my road dog," are cherished reminders of her unique spirit.
Barbara leaves behind to honor her memory her sisters Cynthia Lorraine and Yvonne (Reginald) Fulton; best friend Laverne Harris; her son, Travis (Demetria) Seaborn; grandchildren Cynthia Roberts, Shadunis White, Brinenia Seaborn, Desmond Fanning, and Sharteria Watkins; and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her special Nephew Turnel Farley, Corey Binns, Torey Binns, Hosea (Ronica) Johnson, Willie (Iris) Ellington, as well as many beloved great-nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Barbara's memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
