Ms. Cheryl G. Strickland was born January 14, 1963 to the late Lessie Jewell Strickland in Atlanta, GA. She attended and graduated from two cosmetology schools, Atlanta Area Tech and Metropolitan School of Hair Design. She also graduated from multiple trade schools throughout her lifetime. She attendd St. James United Methodist Church in Alpharetta, GA as child. In 2009 she became a member of Rhema Christian Fellowship under the leadership of Bishop Stephen B. Hall until her death. She was a loving mother, grandmther, guardian person whose heart was filled wtih love for ALL children. She was a community leader go to person for anyone who needed help. She was the "Greatest Coordinator" in the world. She was known as Ms. Stickland, Mom, Cheryl and friernd. To those who knew her or just met her knew that her mission in life was to take care of her grandbabies. She was a strong fighter and a survivor from overwhelming obstacles in her life. On October 3, 2011 Jesus took her from this world of immortaity and gave her eternal life. She is now our shining star which will help guide us through our darkest nights. She was preceded in death by her mother and sister, Lessie J. Strickland and Teresa Clinkscales. She leaves two loving daughters, Monyetta Strickland and Tatiana Strickland; 7 grandchildren, Passion Smith, Andrew Smith IV, Desmond Lelan Strickland, Natalie Escoe, Daniel Strickland, Chase Young and Julian Mitchell; 3 nieces, Macha Bradley, Elizabeth Youngblood and Latrice Clinkscales; nephew, Michael Pope; aunt, Lena Mae Grant; 2 best friends, Linda Martin and Jennifer Scott; a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
