Julia Mae Wallace passed on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at DeKalb Medical Center, Decatur, Georgia. She was born on March 1, 1930, the daughter of the late Ossie Lee Wallace of Atlanta, Georgia. Julia attended Howard High School. Her first job was as a domestic worker. She furthered her educational training in nursing and became a nursing assistant. Since Julia loved being around children, she decided to seek employment where children lack parental nourishment and was hired by the DeKalb County Children Services. She headed a shelter as a foster parent for children in need. Julia took great pride in her children and they were treated as her own. Julia was a private person when it came to her family, and a proud virtuous woman. She taught her three boys the power of prayer, the importance of attending Sunday school, church and putting God first in everything you do. When she did speak of her boys she would say, Ive got some praying boys. Julia was preceded in death by her youngest son, Dwight Wallace in December 2004. She leaves to cherish precious memories, two sons, Edward Ricardo Wallace (Linda) and Michael Wallace (Deborah); nine grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Julia Mae Wallace will be sorely missed and will forever be cherished by her family and friends. Her earthly presence will be gone but her beautiful spirit will forever be in our hearts. Mom, we are mourning your death, celebrating your life and acknowledging the endless sacrifices you made to keep us happy. Thank you God for allowing us to have such a great woman as our Mom. Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints. Psalm 116:15 Grissom- Clark Funeral Home.404-373-3191 www.grissom-clarkfh.com
