In profound sorrow we announce the passing of Ms. Vanessa Elaine McDonald on August 07,2020. Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 14, 2020 11:00 am at Grissom-Clark Eastlake Chapel . Visitation will be Thursday, Aug 13, 2020 12 noon-4:00pm at Grissom-Clark Eastlake Chapel.

Goodbye for now: Psalms 23:4 “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod and staff, they comfort me.” Ms. Vanessa Elaine McDonald was born March 15, 1967 in Atlanta, Georgia to Evelyn McDonald and Albert Carter Sr. She grew up in East Lake Meadows and was surrounded by a great family who loved her dearly. Vanessa was so funny. She loved her music, food, and she could not resist a cold Coca-Cola. She was an incredible woman who touched the lives of everyone she met. Vanessa was a comforter and a great listener. Her heart and soul were pure, and her smile lit up any room. Everyone that knew Vanessa, knew she was a true ray of sunshine. Vanessa went to be with the Lord on August 7, 2020. She leaves to honor her memories her mother, Evelyn McDonald; loving brothers and sisters, Albert Carter Jr., Cepada Carter, Nicolas Carter, Nicole Carter, and Defriese McTerrell; aunts and uncles, Margaret Sheets, Earnestine Whitfield, Joseline Carter-Parks, Vanessa Carter-Parks, Benita Carter, Brenda Wilson, Adriene Jackson, and DeWayne “Papa Charlie” Norwood; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. We know she is dancing in heaven to her old school music! We love you, Vanessa.
