In Loving Memory of Wendy Lee
July 25, 1956 – October 7, 2025
Wendy Lee, born on July 25, 1956, in Harlem, New York, was a force of nature—a brave, fearless, and beautiful soul whose presence lit up every room she entered. She was more than a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend—she was the heartbeat of her family and the lifeline to many.
Wendy was the embodiment of strength, grace, and love. She was fierce in her loyalty, wise beyond measure, and always full of joy and positive energy. She had a unique gift for making people feel important, seen, and cherished. She was brilliant, creative, and always had the best ideas—especially when it came to caring for those she loved. To her daughter, Devynn, she was not just a mom, but a best friend, a safe place, and her whole world.
She was preceded in death by beloved family members: her grandmother Ruth Prey; her mother Gloria Lee; her sister Carol; her brothers Stevie, Kevin, and Brett; her grandson Dhamoni; and loved ones Russell "Butch" Reid and Herbert "Al" Allen. Though they are no longer here, their memories live on in those who remain.
Wendy is survived by her children: Shannon, Devynn, and Courtney. She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Sonseray, Courtney Jr., Aveyon, Azel, Courjon, and Mylife. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Kaizen, Khalil, and Navangeli Chyna. Her legacy will live on in each of them—in their laughter, strength, and love.
There are no words that can fully describe the type of superwoman Wendy was. Her life cannot be summed up in a single paragraph, because she was everything: joy, love, warmth, and resilience. And she was loved—by her children, her grandchildren, and all who were blessed enough to call her friend.
Wendy Lee will never be forgotten. Her spirit remains alive in every life she touched, and her love will echo for generations.

My condolences to the family especially Devynn and my nephews Aveyon and Azil. I've known Ms.Wendy for 20+ years and she would light up the room with her laughter. A very beautiful, quiet, lovable person inside out. I love you Ms. Wendy and will meet you on the other side. I love you Devynn and the boys!!!
My condolences to the family, I've know Wendy since I was a child. Wendy was an aunt to me and she will be truly missed. Love you auntie forever in our hearts 💕
I will always remember my sister Wendy as there were times when we were inseparable. I kids grew up together and wherever I moved Wendy followed. She even joined me in Virginia back in 1983 although we both moved back to NYC, and then she came to Georgia a few years after I came in 1993. She missed NYC but after making new friends in Georgia she decided to stay and worked a long stint at Philips Arena and the Aquarium as well as at Jackson Memorial Airport. Although she made new friends of her co-workers she always managed to stay in touch with her old friends and got the scoop on what was going on in NY from them. Wendy and I enjoyed playing bingo even after our mother and grandmother passed. She fought a hard battle but she never gave up on herself or her children. She was so proud of her grandchildren and was grateful to have them in her presence because she loved all of them and they loved their "Nana." Rest in peace my Sister and I'll see you on the aside when the Lord calls me home. Love you dearly and will miss you already, My little Sister/My Friend.
Sincere condolences to the family. Wendy I can hear your laughter now lighting up a room. We will reunite again and until then May you rest in peace my friend.
