On October 18, 2007 our Heavenly Father sent His angels to bring home one of His own. Quincy D. Anderson was the son of Natalyn Patterson and Robert Davis Brooks. He was born in Chicago on April 15, 1972. His mother, sister, and he moved to Atlanta in 1986 when he enrolled in Therrell High School in southwest Atlanta. He later moved to Florida where he entered Job Corp and also obtained employment. He returned to Atlanta and began at various places of employment.
Quincy enjoyed life and enjoyed helping others and being on the go. He made friends during his lifetime.
During his mid-twenties he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Quincy continued to work until the disease began to rob his ability to walk. He joined Antioch Baptist Church and attended until he was physically unable to attend. Neighbors recall him as being friendly and making every effort to speak and say "hello". He could often be seen taking out the trash walking as though every effort was indeed an effort, but he was determined to get to the dumpster and back to the apartment.
Quincy is preceded in death by his father, Robert Davis Brooks.
He leaves to mourn his mother, Natalyn (Alphonso) Patterson; sister LaToya (Quabenie) Patterson Jenkins; two brothers, Corey and Bobby Brooks of Chicago, IL; step-brother, Alphonso (Jamie) Blair, Jr.; step-sister, Gwen (Antonio) Felder; grandmother, Ruby Anderson; aunt, Deborah Brooks of Chicago, IL; six uncles, John Lewis Anderson, James Anderson and Cedric Anderson all of Chicago, IL; Donald Anderson, Dino Anderson and Ernie Anderson all of Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
