Roy Thomas Williams, Jr., 74, of Decatur, died Monday, February 23, 2015. He was the husband of Patricia R. Williams.

The Homegoing Celebration for Deacon Roy Thomas Williams, Jr. will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2015 at The Cathedral of Faith Church of God In Christ, 1137 Avon Ave., S.W. Pastor Arthur F. Mosely will officiate.. The body will lie in state one hour before the service. Interment Dawn Memorial Park. An Atlanta native, Roy Williams, Jr. graduated from L. J. Price High School where he was a baseball standout. He retired from General Motors Corporation after more than 30 years of service. Those who cherish his memory include his wife, Patricia Williams; daughters, Suzette Ramsey and Cathy Bacon, 7 seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Byron Williams, Earl Williams, and Douglas Williams; and sisters, Janice Brown and Constance Williams; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
