In remembrance of my older cousin, Clyde Washington (Poppa). I'm thankful for the times that my mother, Louise would drive all of us up to New York State to see you and Alice. Thank you for the hospitality and family fellowship. You will be missed Poppa. Rest in Peace. Love, your cousin Charlotte.
Rest on cousin clyde, you will be missed condolences to the family 🙏
For Clyde's family ... I remember meeting Clyde with my grandpa, Howard Leslie Strongman. They were a team, the tallest men I had ever seen with the greatest sense of kindness and strength between them, and I felt safe. We didn't meet often, but when we did, it was always full of warmth and laughter. Two years ago, I received a phone call to speak with my Mom, "Gussie". Clyde, Mom, and I were on our front porch in Kennesaw Georgia laughing and loving for over four hours. Mom passed into Heaven before sunrise on Nov. 5th, 2024 having reached her goal of 100 years of loving and caring for others :) And I know they are all above watching over us, their families, here on earth. We must do too as they did— "Go and do something good for this world!!!" They will live on in our memories, our hearts, and our deeds! Our prayer... "Oh Lord, how glorious is your name over all the Earth! When I behold your heavens, the moon and the stars which you set in place – What is man that you should care for him? You have made him a little less than the angels, and crowned him with glory and honor. — Adapted from Psalm 8 Now, O Lord, in your divine mercy let your servant rest in peace.
Clyde, it was a pleasure to know you. You were family to us. We will miss seeing you here in New York. May you Rest In Peace my dear friend and keep looking after us from above. Until we meet again you will be missed and loved by many. Your family, Mary and Kevin Murphy
Our staff will continue to keep your family in our prayers. We thank you for allowing us to serve your family.
