Obituary For Annie F. Hairston
Annie F. Hairston, 82, of 445 Memory Lane, Martinsville, VA, departed this life on Monday, November 27, 2023, at SOVAH Health Martinsville, VA. Annie was born July 10, 1941, in Virginia, to the late George William Hairston and Sadie Elizabeth Matthews Hairston.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willard C. Hairston; one son, Kermit D. Hairston, Sr.; one brother, James Hairston; two sisters, Carolyn Stockton, and Mildred Adams; and one grandchild, Nikki Hylton.
Annie was a faithful member of Evangelical Holiness Church in Axton, VA.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include: one son, Willard Calvin Eugine Hairston of Martinsville, VA; two daughters, Shenial Hairston of Martinsville, VA, and Sharon (Ricky) Hylton of Ridgeway, VA; two sisters, Shirley (Marvin) Slade of Axton, VA, and Sadie (Jerry) Washington of Axton, VA; one brother, George (Betty) Hairston of Gaffney, SC; three grandchildren, Chaniece Hairston, Jahiem Hairston, and Kermit D. Hairston, Jr.; three greatgrandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
A family visitation will be held Thursday, November 30, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. which is to be held at the Evangelical Holiness Church, Axton, VA, with Pastor Marvin Slade, Presiding. The burial will follow at Hailey Family Cemetery, Brass Shop Road, Ridgeway, VA. A public viewing will be held Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at Hairston Funeral Home from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. The family will receive friends at 445 Memory Lane, Martinsville, VA at all other times.
