On Saturday, November 8, 2025, Bernard βBernie Macβ Moore 56, of Louise Ave., Martinsville peacefully transitioned from this earthly life at his residence. He was born in Martinsville, VA on June 15, 1969, to Brenda J. Moore and the late James Wimbush.
In addition to his father, Bernard was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Lee Moore; paternal grandmother, Mattie B. Ziglar and maternal grandfather, Tiny P. Moore.
Bernard attended G.W. Carver High School and was retired from Drake Excursions.
Those left to cherish his memory one daughter, Keiera Moore of Ridgeway, VA; granddaughter, Kamyrah Gravely of Ridgeway, VA; one brother, Barry W. Moore (Tuwanda) of Martinsville, VA; two sisters, Lisa T. Wade (Barry) and Brenda Moore βSugamamaβ Barksdale (Marcus) both of Martinsville, VA; and a host of other relatives, and friends.
A visitation service will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. with the funeral service at 12 noon at the Greater International Pentecostal Assembly Building, 980 Carver Rd., Martinsville, VA with Pastor Ray Matthews, Eulogist. Interment will follow at Carver Memorial Gardens, 869 Parkway Dr., Martinsville.
A public viewing will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Hairston Funeral Home, 301 Fayette St., Martinsville between the hours of 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. Other times, the family will receive friends at the residence of his brother and sister-in-law, Barry and Tuwanda Moore, 1155 Chestnut Knob Rd., Martinsville, between the hours of 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. daily. Live streaming of the funeral service will be available at Hairston Funeral Home live via Facebook.
